Bulk email is advertisement or marketing message that is sent repeatedly. The message is sent as a mass mailing to huge numbers of recipients at one time. The senders of bulk emails are mostly companies and organizations.

 

Bulk email is also referred to as gray mail. Bulk email is typically comprised of an advertisement or marketing message. Bulk email is wanted by some users, and in fact they may have deliberately signed up to receive these messages, while other users may consider these types of messages to be spam.

Mailing list discussions;

There are two types of bulk emails in email marketing:

 

Genuine Bulk Email.
It’s features are:
#1 Seek permission from customers whether they want to recieve mails or not
#2 Has unsubscribe information inside the email.
#3 The senders’ name should be clearly exhibited
#4 The information is constantly updated.

 

Unsolicited Bulk Email.
It’s features are:
#1 Customers didn’t comply to permission to receive mails.
#2 There is no «unsubscribe» button.
#3 Isn’t personalized.
#4 The email list is frugaly updated.

 

Some subscribers signed up to receive such messages, but others consider them to be spam. For example, some subscribers want to receive advertising messages from the company or its invitations to conferences, but other subscribers think that these emails are spam.

 

Tips to avoid spamming people by sending them bulk emails:

 

Create your own list of email addresses, use a reputable email system, use double opt-in permission marketing, be reliable, keep the language simple, create a call to action, create an <unsubscribe>

 

In conclusion, bulk email is more than just spam, if you define it correctly, seek permission and provide value. Moreover, this is a great way to communicate with your potential customers.
